If you have productive weeks you will have productive years. To have a productive week you need to have four or five days when you accomplish something significant. Major progress on a chapter, completing a peer review of an article, or a book review. If you have 40 weeks like that in a year, or about 80%, you cannot
not be productive. Even if some of these tasks are grading a complete set of papers, enough will be research related that you will be productive in research too.
