    I have GOT to wrest control of my life away from my department, finish that book on race so that I get it off my chest, and return to Vallejo studies. SOMEONE has to do it.

    I had to go look up the sentence. I think it may reflect more on the intellectual standards of the Doctor of Musical Arts degree than on Lorca studies.....

    I think that getting a DMA could be ok in some cases, but making someone write a thesis who cannot write or think at all is downright cruel.
