Today we have 8 people in the writing group here at the aptly named Mirth café. I added more than 1,000 words to my project ADLB. (Another damned Lorca book), also known as
Lorca: modelo para armar, in 2 1/2 hours. The place is loud and the chairs uncomfortable. We hardly speak to one another. Yet it is a great way to write.

How do you carry your secondary materials to the writing session and is there place to spread them around? Or do you just write without them when you are with the group?
I was writing directly from my brain without anything else, except some pdfs directly on my computer. I am at that stage of the project where I need to brainstorm.
That's really cool. I can't do that yet. I need to feel anchored with my papers and notes. Maybe one day. . . :-)
Clarissa: The beauty of this kind of writing group is that you learn to write without being anchored to the texts. You bring what you can carry and have to move forward with what you have. It can be quite liberating.
