Well, tangentially related -- at my campus, it appears that any crackpot creationist, etc., can say anything to any audience if they are a guest speaker. I, however, am not allowed to say anything to anyone unless I am speaking in field and on topic to students, or if I am speaking to people in my own unit who are at or below my rank. Therefore I am not impressed with the idea that Nazi speakers should be allowed and that protesting them (or fighting them, for that matter) violates the first amendment, which is considered sacred by some when it is convenient to them to consider it so.
