My jazz-piano teacher when I was in high school insisted I sing the melodic line of my solos as I played them. It prevented "noodling around." Amy Nolte takes that device to a whole 'nother level - singing with the keyboard there, pointing and not playing. It fortifies the visual component of piano improvisation. She is my new favourite person.
She is great. It doesn't hurt that she's nice to look at and has a pleasant demeanor. When I first started looking at her videos I thought, whoah, she makes things look easy.

Wow. Thanks for drawing attention to this. It's easy to see how this would strengthen one's musical imagination.
What Thomas said.
And: Your posts on playing have been an inspiration, Jonathan. - thank you.
